Friendly Neighbors is a Denver-based band that brings together the influences of funk, jazz, soul, and hip-hop into a sound that is both listenable and danceable. Featuring a mixture of covers and original music written by each member, the band is equally at home in bar/club settings and performing arts venues/festivals.

Meet the band
Kim Bird – bass
Kim enjoys washing cars, shoveling snow, and raking. She tries to eat fruit every day, and rarely puts anything in her coffee. She likes looking at stars and thinking about the vastness of space. She’s a good kid.
Kevin Matthews – drums
If you need a ride to the airport, Kevin is your man. He’s also really good to have around if you are moving. He can carry large objects with ease because he works out at the gym. Kevin likes to cook with exotic spices. He’s a stand up guy.
Thomas Jennings – guitar
What can be said about Thomas Jennings that you haven’t already heard about in the Weekly World News? Yes, he gave birth to lizard. Yes, he’s friends with Bat Boy. Yes, he once spent the night with Elvis on a spaceship headed to Vega. Thomas is top notch.
Matt Burchard- sax
Matt is a ninja master who can throw flames with his hands. He also enjoys long walks on asphalt, soup, Blue Man Group, and kittens. Sometimes Matt thinks about conserving nature and will shorten his shower. He’s a gem.
